Eat many prepared and fresh fruits to stay healthy and get all the vitamins and minerals that we need-especially
the very important Vitamin C. This food group also supplies fiber and some iron.
What foods represent the Fruit Group?
Oranges, Peaches, Apples, Grapefruit, Kiwi, Bananas, Strawberries, Watermelon, Apricots, Pineapple and Pears.
Suggested servings are:
1 medium apple, orange, banana, pear; 1/2 grapefruit; 1 wedge of melon; 3/4 cup juice; 1/2 cup berries; 1/2 cup cooked,
diced or canned fruit; 1/4 cup dried fruit
Be sure to get at least 2-4 servings from the Fruit Group daily.
