Foods that contain protein help build strong muscles, glowing skin and healthy hair.  Protein provides us with important vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B12, B6, zinc, iron and niacin.

What foods represent the Protein Goup?

Meat(beef, pork, veal), Fish, Poultry, Nuts, Eggs, Legumes, Tofu, Peanut Butter

Suggested servings are:

2-3 oz of cooked meat, fish or poultry; 1 egg; 1/2 cup cooked legumes; 2 Tablespoons peanut butter

Be sure to get at least 2-3 servings from the Protein Group daily.
