CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD WINNERS ART AND WRITING CONTEST

WINNING STUDENT ARTWORK!

Each winner recieved a Commemorative Olympic Bronze Medallion from the 2002 Winter Olympics sponsor, Compass Group, USA:

Thank you to all students who sent in entries for the contest.  Everyone did a wonderful job, and I hope you had as much fun creating as the judging team had in viewing all your artwork.  It was a very hard decision to narrow all the entries down to just these twelve.

HONORABLE MENTION goes to:
Joshua Freeman and Carly Lyon of Edison Elementary
Tyler Pothoff, Dakota Burke, and Derek Smith of Jefferson Elementary.

Students at all building in Coldwater Community Schools were asked to use their creativity and imagination to write an original essay, or create a work of art communicating their idea of being a champion.  Student competed district wide for 12 bronze medallions.  These 12 went on to represent the district at the Great Lakes Regional level to compete for silver medallions.  We are disappointed to announce that none of our students won silver.  If they had they would have went on to the national level to compete for gold.
